This treatise is a response to the doubts of the grave and saint-worshippers and is based on the interactions and debates that Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad bin ‘Abd al-Wahhab (may Allāh have mercy on him) had with the disputants and enemies of his call to the Tawhid of the Messengers. There is not a book like it that has captured and presented their foundational doubts and the replies to them from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, which are valid for all times.

It explains the nature of the doubts and presents their refutation in the Qur’an and the Sunnah in a simple yet comprehensive way, providing both general principles and detailed answers. When a person combines knowledge of the general principles and detailed answers, he will gain sound comprehension and be able to easily grasp, analyse, identify, codify and respond to every doubt raised against the Tawhid of the Messengers.

Shaykh Sulayman bin Sahman (d. 1349H) said: “The Shaykh authored Kashf al-Shubuhat and mentioned evidences from the Book and the Sunnah for the invalidation of the doubts which the enemies of Allah and His Messenger presented So he refuted their proofs and explained their ailing, brittle nature. It is a book of tremendous benefit despite its small size, lofty in its status. The enemies of Allah were subdued by it, and the awliya of Allah benefited from it, and it became a signpost by which the Muwahhids guide themselves.”
