Al-Bid’ah Its General Rules and its Evil Effect upon the Ummah 10B The Prophet (salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) prohibited innovating into the Religion of Allah and he warned against al-bid’ah (innovation) and he clarified to his Ummah that every innovation in the Religion of Allah is misguidance. So he (salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) spoke in the hadith of al-Irbad Ibn Sariyah (radi allahu anhu), which was related by Abu dawud (d.275H) and al-Tirmidhi (d.274H) who said, “An acceptable authentic hadith”
