The author summarized ‘Al-Mawdu’at’ by Ibn al-Jawzi (d. 597H) with an excellent summary, establishing principles and rules for it. Thus, the book, despite its small size and compactness, is comprehensive, beneficial, and distinguished, like the rest of Ibn al-Qayyim’s works, may Allah have mercy on him.

This book is one of the best written on fabricated (mawdu’) hadiths, combining extensive knowledge with a small size and precise rules for identifying hadith without needing to examine their chains of narration.

The book presents a number of fabricated hadiths and adds principles and rules for distinguishing fabricated hadith from authentic ones. This is beneficial for specialists in hadith and helps beginners develop the ability to differentiate between authentic, weak, and fabricated hadith.
