Description
The Bareilawi cult originated in India during the time of the British Raj. They were heavily influenced be Sufi´ism and Shi´ism and Hindusim. The book examines their beliefs and rituals in depth. In particular they boast about their love for the Prophet Muhammad (salallahu ´alayhi wasallem). This is not borne out by the facts. It is not unreasonable to state the Bareilawi´ism is closer to Shi’ism than Ahlus Sunnah. This cult has always opposed Ahlus Sunnah by going beyond the limits laid down by Allah and His Messenger (salallahu ´alayhi wasallam) and rebelliously partaking in innovations. Some of their deviant ideas include: – Supplicating and seeking help from other than Allah – The belief that others along will Allah have Knowledge of the Unseen – Issues regarding the humanity of the Prophet (sallahu ´alayhi wa sallam) – Exaggerating praise regarding the abilities of the Prophets and Saints – Grave worship and building structures over them – Saint worship and their polytheistic beliefs regarding them – Seeking blessings from the figures, images, relics and talismans – Excessive indulging in innovated practices opposing the early Salaf – Their customs of religious festivals and the death anniversaries – Spreading superstitions and fairy tales – Distorting the meaning of Qur´anic verses and the Sunnah – Declaring Muslim scholars, leaders and politicians ´Kafir´ Author: Shaykh Ehsan Elahi Zaheer Publisher: The Orthodox Press Pages: 192 Binding: Paperback
