Customers reviews:
As Muslims, we memorize Qur’an and hadith, but it is sometimes difficult to know how to apply them to our daily lives. This book presents specific hadith and verses of the Qur’an and shows us how to apply them to everyday situations with our children. It is an excellent reminder for both parents and children that “our ultimate reference is to the orders of Allah SWT, and that even parents are expected to adhere to these orders” (p. 13).
It is also very practical and user-friendly. The chapters are divided into clear and concise topics that address practical matters, such as “Encourage and Emphasize Positive Actions,” as well as spiritual matters, such as “Link the Child to Allah,” while always referring to the Qur’an and Sunnah directly.
The book also presents expectations for the children, in chapters such as “Teach them respect,” as well as expectations for parents, in chapters such as “Follow Up on Orders and Be Consistent.” An excellent, well-balanced reference for all Muslim parents.
Anybody raising a Muslim baby today knows the trials and difficulties that surround us whether it is media, peers, or even family. This book is an excellent introduction in Islamic parenting, using verses from the Quran, Hadith and experience of the authors in guiding parents towards raising their kids as confident and practicing Muslims.
MashaAllah, this is an excellent resource on parenting with practical advice. None of the fluffy psychoanalytical stuff, just pure answers to take on daily obstacles. It is a must for young couples wanting to have kids and veteran parents like myself who want to better follow the deen and get better results. Thanks for putting in all your hard work and sweat into something so often overlooked until disaster strikes. May Allah ta BarakAllah bless you deeply in your Akhira and Dunya for your effort. Amin!
